The base
Our headquarters in the City of London provides a modern and collaborative work environment with onsite facilities to help you stay healthy and happy, including an onsite gym with fitness studios, health hub, subsidised eatery, outside terraces, and social spaces. The team
The People & Culture team is responsible for ensuring that Schroders maximises the return on its investment in people and does this through the development and implementation of policies and practices that attract, reward, and retain high quality employees, to achieve business objectives in line with our values and strategic goals.

Who we're looking for
As the Employee Experience Specialist, you will be pay a critical role in the creation and delivery of an engaging, holistic, consistent, human-centred approach to our People & Culture communications and employee interaction. 

You will be responsible for ensuring effective engagement strategies that align with the company's culture and values, ultimately enhancing and driving subjective and objective measures of success whilst also ensuring a positive employee experience for all. 

You will collaborate with various stakeholders to review and transform how we communicate and interact with employees, and managers, throughout the employee life cycle, focusing on how we can proactively present information and support to people, as and when they need it. 

This role will include a healthy mix of creativity, alongside a data driven approach, helping us identify areas for improvement and implementing positive change that helps contribute to our supportive and inclusive workplace.

  • Strategic thinker, contributing to broader People & Culture priorities.

What you'll do 

  • Develop and establish the People & Culture identity and tone of voice for consistent messaging across all employee-facing communications;
  • Effectively communicate the People and Culture calendar and activities to keep employees informed and engaged;
  • Explore opportunities to continuously enhance, innovate and improve employee experiences by leveraging technology, data analytics and employee feedback to drive improvements to our employee experience throughout their life at Schroders;
  • Redesign MySchroders (intranet) People & Culture resources and policies to enhance the employee experience, streamline processes, and reduce queries;
  • Enhance talent attraction across social media by effectively communicating our employee value proposition to future and current talent;
  • Collate and prepare People and Culture content for inclusion in internal and external media, reporting and award submissions;
  • Represent the People & Culture team in stakeholder meetings, collaborating with internal communications to ensure alignment with brand and effectively manage the deployment of people communications;
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication efforts, using metrics to continually improve communication practices;
  • Collate and analyse employee feedback through surveys, focus groups, or other feedback mechanisms to gather feedback and understand employee needs. Use feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to enhance the employee experience;
  • Collaborates closely with key internal stakeholders across the globe, including business leaders, the People and Culture team, and employee resource groups to build relationships, gain buy-in, and provide a framework for effective communication of employee engagement initiatives, and employee experience improvements and
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, such as media outlets and industry professionals, to promote and enhance the organisation's reputation.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that you'll need

  • Strong understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures to effectively communicate people and culture information and align with organizational initiatives;
  • Specific experience in HR, internal communications, employer branding, or employee engagement roles, creating and delivering People-related content;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills for clear, concise, and engaging communications aligned with the organization's brand;
  • Project management experience for effective planning and execution of communication initiatives;
  • Knowledge of best practices in employee communications and engagement, including behavioural change expertise;
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management and
  • Proficiency in technology and digital platforms for communication purposes.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • Qualification in psychology or behavioural science – insights in understanding human behaviour, motivation, and the principles of behavioural change. Bringing to the role knowledge about various strategies and frameworks that could be applied to encourage positive behavioural change and employee engagement and
  • Qualification in organizational development or change management - insights into the process of initiating and managing behavioural change within an organization. Bringing to the role an understanding of the dynamics of organizational culture, change models, and effective strategies for driving behavioural change.
