Employee Relations Specialist

Westminster

£24 per hour

Full Time Contract
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking an Employee Relations Specialist based in Westminster. This is a temporary contract working full time hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver a specialist service, carrying out a range of skilled activities in HR to maximize service quality and continuity.
  • Develop and review HR activities in the specialist area to include preparing Employment Tribunal responses and witness statements and managing a high volume of complex casework.
  • Work with managers and the HR team to ensure that operational HR issues are identified and inform the development of HR strategies and initiatives
  • Keep abreast of developments in employment legislation, EC directives, codes of practice and related matters and maintain a thorough knowledge of HR policies and procedures, employment law and relevant case law in order to understand current requirements and best practice.
  • Undertake research, analyse data and draft briefing papers on behalf of the Director of People Services and recommend changes in HR policies and employment practices to ensure that they continue to meet organisational needs

Qualification and experience required:

  • CIPD qualified or with a post graduate professional qualification or equivalent in a related discipline or equivalent suitable experience
  • Practical experience of working in an HR function in an advisory or policy capacity
  • An indepth knowledge of employee relations, and a knowledge of a wide range of HR issues
  • Experience of providing HR services in a local authority or other multi service organisation.
