The Role

As a Communication and Engagement Intern you will assist the communication lead in managing large transfers of employees from various business sectors across multiple locations spread across UK & Ireland. In this role you will assist in building TCS Communication and Engagement plans and work in collaboration with the customers to draw up joint communication and engagement plans. You will assist in large HR Transformation projects such as Change Management Exercises and assist with the integration of all employees into the organization. In this role you will work with TCS UK HR People Transition and Change Management Consulting team with transfer activities. Please note this role will require some working outside recognised office hours and also involves travel and overnight stays within UK and Ireland.


Key responsibilities:

Creating Communication Plans


  • Assisting the comms lead in outsourcing programs from a Communications standpoint by devising and implementing the communications strategy.
  • Assist the comms lead in devising and agreeing the overall communication plan for the project in collaboration with customers.
  • Defining and refining both written and verbal communications with the Senior Project Team within TCS and customers, identifying actions required, supporting, or performing delivery, completing comms governance.
  • Set up and manage a joint governance process with customer/TCS and all incumbent organisations comms-wise.
  • Supporting the delivery of communication where appropriate to all relevant stakeholders across all TCS and client organisations.
  • Delivering Communications training if required to members of the project.
  • Liaise with customer communication teams to publish transition related communication

Creating Engagement Plans

  • Work with customers to co-create impactful TCS engagement plans.
  • Run transition specific engagement plans/events both remote and onsite in line with the transition timelines.
  • Own customer interactions and reviews of joint plans.
  • Writing responses for bids.
  • Co-owning the HR Request for Proposal process.
  • Working with the business and other HR sub-functions to generate responses.
