About the Role


As a Test Lead, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our client's software quality assurance processes. You'll lead a dynamic team of test analysts, collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering, development leads, and product owners, and contribute to the evolution of their QA function. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving the implementation of cutting-edge tools and processes, supporting critical platform upgrades, and ensuring that both new and existing systems meet the highest standards of quality and security.

Key Responsibilities


  • Leadership: Provide direction and support to your team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strategic Influence: Work closely with the Head of Engineering to define and implement test strategies, structures, and best practices for both legacy systems and greenfield projects.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement tools and processes to assure quality in software delivery, with a strong focus on automation and the integration of new technologies.
  • Agile Practices: Promote Agile and DevOps best practices, including Kanban and Scrum methodologies, ensuring they are embedded in the team's workflow.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain excellent relationships with development leads, product owners, and other key stakeholders to understand and prioritize requirements.
  • Technical Oversight: Ensure that technical documentation is up-to-date and that all software complies with security and quality standards.


Requirements


  • Proven experience in leading a software testing team, with a strong background in both manual testing and test automation.
  • Significant experience in testing and ensuring quality on complex, business-critical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Formal ISTQB certification (desirable).
