**Technical Lead**
**Our Opportunity**:
In collaboration with the Project Design Authority (PDA), the Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) Manager and other Technical Leads, Technical Lead shall:
- Coordinate the development of the Archerfish integration with the USV, and;
- Liaise with sub-system design team and Archerfish supplier to co-ordinate the system design/interfaces
- Execute the IVVQ strategy for the Archerfish Mine Neutralisation System. This includes the
- organisation of sea trials to demonstrate the capability of Archerfish when integrated with a UMCM Unscrewed Surface Vessel (USV)
**Key tasks**:
As Technical Lead you work with the other Solution Technical Leads and Solution Element teams to define and agree with the PS IVVQM the IVVQ strategy for the Archerfish capability. This includes identification of the test means required, including simulators and platforms. Additional duties include:
- Contribute to the Test Specification and write the Test Scenarios required to satisfy the PS-SSS and customer requirements related to the MNS
- Lead the Archerfish integration, verification, validation and acceptance activities in the UK (Factory, Harbour and at Sea)
- Perform in depth post-trials analyses in order to produce the required qualification evidence
- Work with the Technical Leads, Solution Element and Node teams in order to ensure that their strategies align with the Function Package IVVQ strategy and that there are no gaps or overlaps
- Manage the System Problem Reports ensuring that they are correctly sentenced, prioritised and not duplicated
- Analyse the PRs and proposes solutions to fix them, considering
- Impact assessment to the Solution requirements and interfaces,
- Impact assessment to the Solution elements design (complexity, costs, schedule)
- Detailed modifications (delivered items and documents) to be carried out at Solution and at Solution element levels
- Contributes to the updates and reviews of the Solution design baseline (PS SSS, IRS/ICD, SSDD, model, functional chains)
- Provide regular reporting agreed with the SEM and IVVQM including: Report technical risks and opportunities
- Contribute to the metrics dashboard, schedule update and weekly reporting
**About You**:
- You will be a leader with an excellent ability to work well with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business and comfortable with understanding business and project financials
- You will be someone who is able to develop a long-term strategic plan and then execute the plan at pace and with impact
- Proven experience in Software and/or Hardware, Systems Engineering and IVVQ activities
- Ability to generate IVVQ metrics as part of quality and schedule control
- Experience of working with System of Systems, working with complex architectures and Mission Systems, Sonar, Communications, Radar, ROV, Drones
- Experience of running Air or Sea Trials
- A desire to strengthen your expertise in one of the following areas: conception, requirement management, development, test, integration or validation
- Solve complex problems and be plunged into a challenging environment
- Recognised as a team player and enjoy collaborative work and ability to manage and influence a transverse technical team
- Complex systems / System of Systems engineering
- MBSE (+ ability to use Melody Advance or Capella preferred)Ability to define test scenarios and write Test Procedures, triage issues and prioritise accordingly
- Experience of working within an international project environment
- Innovate - Be motivated to search for novel and unique ways to implement the IVVQ strategy, thinking ‘outside the box’.
