Area Manager

International Bank based in Manchester, are looking to recruit an Area Manager to oversee their Commercial business across the Midlands. The position will be based at their Manchester offices, with travel to the Midlands from time to time. It's also worth noting this position, will be full time in the office.
The role holder is primarily responsible for driving profitable volume growth through value added sales and service of Commercial / SME customers. You'll target and manage an assigned portfolio of customers within the commercial credit business segments. The key challenge in this role is to manage both existing and grow new corporate portfolios and to read early warning signs that could affect the portfolio health.
Main responsibilities will include;
- Coaching and training RM/RSO's – ensuring all KPI's are managed as per business scorecard
- Quality Assurance support with stakeholder units
- Country Credit Committee preparation and presentation of cases
- Portfolio Management of branches and adherence to TCF guidelines
- Customer networking and managing client appointments
- Trade & FX referrals to the business
- Targeted asset growth of the branch balance sheets
- Targeted deposit growth of the branch balance sheets
- Negotiate client proposals for assets and deposits
- Submit proposals to internal credit and account opening teams
- Ensure MI, data, performance reports, KPI's from all departments are reviewed, understood with your team
- Focus on the commercial growth of the Midlands Strategy as a main priority of the role
- Ensure all new credit cases are checked as per 1st line process before submissions made to CAU. All lending requires Area Head Approval
- All new account opening requests where exceptions are required must be vetted and checked by the Area Head
- Liaise with all departments as the business head for transactions and new cases for the Midlands region
- Ensure response times and SLA's for client requests are managed and monitored closely with your team and units
- Management of the larger high net worth clients to be controlled by the Area Head
- Maintain the relationship management regularly with the key accounts and stay connected to ensure service levels are strong
