We're working with a highly-regarded law firm who are looking for a Commercial Property Post-Completions Paralegal to work in the property team. Based in their office in Manchester, you'll be one of the more senior team members and will be responsible for providing high level support on all post completion matters across the property team. Reviewing and processing requests on property matters to ensure optimum performance. This role is perfect for a candidate with a number of years of experience that is looking to take a step up into a more senior position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting land registry applications including transfers, leases, charges, CN1s.
  • Registering and satisfying charges and debentures at Companies' House.
  • Raising and dealing with a variety of different queries with Land Registry on behalf of fee earners.
  • Entering and updating the electronic Post-Completion checklist.
  • Drafting a variety of SDLT/LTT Returns.
  • Calculating the SDLT/LTT payable for each transaction and arranging payments to HMRC/WRA of any SDLT/LTT due.
  • Satisfying Charges and Debentures at Companies House.
  • Obtaining draft insurance policies for Chancel Repair and submitting and paying once approved by Fee Earner.
  • Carrying out Company winding up searches.
  • Drafting PG82 Certificates.
  • Obtaining No Search Certificate from The Coal Authority.

What we need from you:

  • Flexible and able to manage quick changes to process with good planning skills.
  • Minimum of two years experience within commercial property (preferably within post completions).
  • Excellent communication skills and remain professional and credible.
