Do you have experience working with young people and understand the challenges they face? 

Our client school, located in a picturesque area of Northampton are looking to appoint a Director of Behaviour starting September 2024. 

Your role as the Director of Behaviour will be supporting within the pastoral department and across the academy. You will be working closely with the senior membership team and across heads of department 

 

You will be playing an intrgral role within the school inplimenting and improving the schools policies and procedures that improve students’ behaviour throughout the Academy

Development and improvement of the schools behaviour system and reward system

Managing the Academy detention system 

Monitor behavioural trends within year groups and groups of students, identifying those requiring intervention and evaluating its subsequent effectiveness. 

 

The right candidate for this role requires the following 

Experience working with pupils aged 11-16 

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 

A well-developed understanding of strategies to manage and support young people with challenging behaviour in a school environment

Recent relevant training in working with young people with challenging behaviour
