About the role

An exciting opportunity exists in the TasNetworks Asset Management team for a newly created role - Leader Insurance & Vegetation .

Located at Cambridge and reporting to the Head of Asset Management, the role will hold responsibility for obtaining and delivering insurance services to the business. As TasNetworks strive for sustainable and effective levels of investment, this role will also be tasked to review and develop policy and procedure for the provision of business and insurance services, supporting and driving business initiatives. There is also the exciting opportunity to develop, review and deliver a Vegetation Asset Management Plan for the business.

As a leader in your space, you will consult with and provide advice to specific areas of the business in relation to responsibilities of the role and provide timely reporting with analysis to the Executive and Board.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from Risk and/or Insurance Management (ideally 5+ years in insurance management within the utilities or similar sector)

You will be contemporary in approach and will have demonstrated experience and examples of negotiation, consultation and provision of advice. You will also have experience managing insurance claims and portfolios with an eye for risk profiling.

You will be a motivated individual who will embrace the opportunity to help shape a new role, utilising excellent communication skills whilst working closely with our insurance broker and stakeholders across the business to develop policies that are aligned with the TasNetworks’ risk profile.

Desirable certifications include Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or similar, supporting a bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, finance, insurance (or similar) together with membership of a relevant professional association is preferred.
