Job summary

To provide administrative/clerical support for the School Aged Immunisation Team in relation to the National Childhood Immunisation Programme.

This exciting role is with the award winning Buckinghamshire School Aged Immunisation team. A dynamic, forward thinking and supportive team who administer immunisations to school aged children in every school and in community clinics across Buckinghamshire

Main duties of the job

The immunisation team are commissioned to go to every school in Buckinghamshire and deliver the school aged immunisation programme. This role, which is a two year fixed term post, is key to ensuring the safe and smooth running of those school immunisation sessions and community catch up clinics by providing the clinical team with administrative support required.

The postholder will also be responsible for developing excellent relationships with parents and schools, arranging immunisation session dates and providing schools with information to be sent out to parents. In addition, helping parents with queries and assisting them in the completion of consent forms when required.

On occasions the postholder will be in the office working on their own and therefore the ability to work under his/her own initiative is essential. He/she must also be able to work, at times, under pressure with accuracy and be able to maintain confidentiality.

Once familiar with the requirements of the role, working hours can be to split between coming into the office and working from home, to meet service need.

Part time, flexible hours and term time hours are available.
