Community Paediatrics Medical Support Secretary

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Community Paediatrics Medical Support Secretary to join the Admin Hub for the Children and Young People's (CYP) Services. The CYP Admin Hub provides support for services working with children, young people and their families in the community including community paediatrics, integrated therapies, school nursing, health visiting and the immunisations team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who wants to make a difference to the lives of children and young people in Buckinghamshire.
Based in Amersham the position will provide high quality administrative support mainly to the community paediatrics services.
To provide a comprehensive medical secretary and administration service to the community paediatrics department in strict accordance with the Data Protection Act and Trust Confidentiality Guidelines, ensuring all work is processed in a timely and efficient way. This post has been created within the Written Statement of Action (WSoA) as part of the work to build a multi-disciplinary community paediatrics team to tackle long waiting lists and improve care.
- To provide a support medical secretarial role to the community paediatrics service. To undertake accurate audio / copy typing of medical correspondence and general administration tasks for the consultants and their teams. This will include highly sensitive and complex medical terminology with a need for confidentiality.
- To work to the agreed standards and templates for each speciality /
department.
- Be responsible for formatting and printing letters created by the pharmacy team, ensuring a quick turnaround.
- To support the registrars, psychology and consultant teams with timely audio typing, printing and other ad-hoc duties as required.
- To upload medical correspondence to Evolve.
- To support our newly set up MDT (multi disciplinary team) service as required.
- To format clinic letters and reports.
