**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Work as part of the School Nursing Immunisation team delivering a preventative service for children and their families. The aim is to achieve equity of health outcomes and increase immunisation uptake for the local school aged population through the provision of evidence based and needs led service.
- With guidance from the School aged Immunisation team, encourage the completion and return of consent forms, providing support where necessary. Improve communications regarding immunisations with schools, parents and Local authorities. Undertake Health promotion within schools and communities.
- Assisting the Immunisation Team and School Nursing team at health promotion events in schools and communities. Manage own time effectively to include planning of workload in collaboration with other team members. Arrange and participate in monthly meetings driven by a specific agenda
- On occasions the post holder may be required to attend school-based immunisations sessions and support consenting process with unconsented children and their parents.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous admin experience
- Previous NHS experience
- NHS System Knowledge
- Rio (desirable)
- This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years administration experience._
