An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated registered nurse looking to join our senior nursing team on Jenner Ward at City Hospital Campus.
As a 28 bedded Healthcare of Older People ward we are a team committed to meeting the complex medical and mental health needs of our patients. As a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse you will be dedicated and patient focused at the heart of our mission to inspire and motivate our team to ensure the best standards of care are delivered.

Main duties of the job
As Deputy Sister / Charge Nurse, you will support the ward manager in motivating and providing leadership to the ward team.
Clinical Leadership: Collaborate with and support the ward manager to ensure excellence in care delivery. You will lead by example, role modelling and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Team coordination: Coordinate the ward and multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication between healthcare professionals, patients and their significant others. Continuous improvement: Be a catalyst for positive change, working flexibly to ensure standards are being maintained, evaluated and where necessary improved Patient - Centric approach: Empower patients to achieve their goals. Act as the deputy to the ward manager, taking charge of the ward and ensuring that the standards and quality of care given to patients, together with the environment in which care is delivered, are maintained to a high standard.

Current level one NMC registration Have a suitable teaching and assessing qualification Evidence of continued professional development

Experience

Experience at band 5 level for a minimum of 2 years Experience in co-ordinating and managing a clinical ward

Recent or current experience within HCOP Providing staff feedback on their individual performance Demonstrate involvement in change management/ project work
