Autism Specialist Support Assistant for a Manchester Primary School (M18)

 

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a suitable individual to work with a small group of Primary School Pupils who have an Autism diagnosis, aged from 4 years old – 11 years old.

A little bit about the role:

  • Supporting children with Autism within the classroom.
  • Offer a nurturing and understanding approach.
  • An ability to use a variety of behaviour management techniques.
  • Full Time – Term Time only.
  • Be able to support pupils with Maths, Literacy and other subjects within small groups or 1:1.

Key Abilities:

  • Experience of working with children or young people with SEN.
  • An ability to use a variety of techniques to support children with managing their behaviour and emotions.
  • Experience either in a School, within Youth Work or Care with children and young people.
  • Have an understanding approach.
