Assignment Details

This role is to commence immediately and will last for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of extension. Both Full-time and Part-time roles are available.

 

About the role

Connex Education is seeking a Graduate Cover Supervisor to work in Primary or Secondary schools in Ilkeston. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to gain valuable experience in the education sector. As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of education when regular teachers are absent.

Main responsibilities:

-        Supervise students in the classroom

-        Ensure students complete work that has been pre-set by absent teacher

-        Maintain order and a positive learning environment

Connex Education works with multi-academy trusts in areas of Derby and offers many opportunities for Graduate Cover supervisors. The school is committed to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.

 

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you should:

Have a degree in any subject

Be confident in managing classroom behaviour

Have excellent communication skills

Be adaptable and able to work across various subject areas

Have a passion for supporting young people

Be willing to undergo a DBS check (or have a current one on the update service)
