Job overview

To assist in the provision of a comprehensive, efficient administrative support to the whole of the ADHD Nurse Team, who cover a clinical area across the whole of Derby City and the whole of Derbyshire County & Southern Derbyshire. Provide cover for other Admin colleagues as required and designated by the Nominated Supervisor / Manager.

The focus of the role will be to ensure all documents, letters and reports are formatted, typed and distributed timely and accurately under the supervision of the Team Lead Admin.

Main duties of the job

To assist in the provision of a comprehensive, efficient administrative and clerical support service to the City and County ADHD/Behaviour Nurses to ensure an effective service is given to all relevant service users.

You will support the admin lead in administration tasks, telephone call backs, letters and anything deemed within the banding.

Undertake any other appropriate duties as may be delegated from time to time by Nominated Supervisor / Manager.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

1.To assist in the provision of a comprehensive, efficient administrative and clerical support to the City and County ADHD/Behaviour Nurses to ensure an effective service is given to all relevant service users.

2.Typing and preparation of information including correspondence and reports, which may contain confidential and sensitive material in line with local policies and procedures, ensuring that all relevant papers are enclosed as directed.

3.To provide confidential telephone cover for the ADHD/Behaviour Specialist Nurses and Admin when necessary, accurately taking and relaying messages and addressing all enquiries made by service users, in a discrete and helpful manner.

4.Working on own initiative, prioritising and delivering a service that covers a vast geographical area that requires organisational skills and communication skills in order to co-ordinate the service from an admin perspective.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

Essential GCSE English Grade C or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience RSA/CLAIT/IBT2 typing Grade III or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience Working knowledge of Microsoft packages Audio Typing ECDL or equivalent IT qualification / demonstrable experience.

Desirable criteria

Previous NHS experience Experienced in the use of TPP SystemOne Database Knowledge and/or experience of working in children’s services Knowledge of Health terminology
