About Our Company:

Rayden Engineering Ltd is a reputable Mechanical and Civil Engineering Company based in the East Midlands of England. We have established ourselves as experts in pre-fabrication, welding, and installation of pipework systems, including cross-country pipelines and pipeline diversions.

We are currently looking for an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based at our head office in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, and will report directly to the company Directors.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating Environmental activities for the company, both at head office and on sites. This includes ensuring all agreed targets and activities are achieved in a timely manner, providing support to our contracts/construction team by producing and delivering Environmental Plans, and maintaining and improving our UKAS accredited ISO 14001 Environmental management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective Environmental Management Systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with our management team, clients, and project stakeholders to achieve contract aims, develop processes, and procedures, and implement good compliance management practices.
  • Provide training and support to employees on Environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in environmental management, preferably within the gas and oil industry.
  • Excellent understanding of practical environmental principles and practices, as well as environmental legislation.
  • Detailed knowledge of Environmental Management systems.
  • Solid understanding of construction and project-related safety aspects.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
