- **Support for Students**: Provide guidance and support to students, helping them understand and complete the tasks assigned.
- **Resource Management**: Manage classroom resources effectively, ensuring they are used appropriately and responsibly.
- **Administrative Duties**: Complete any necessary administrative tasks associated with supervising lessons, such as taking attendance and providing feedback to the absent teacher.
- **Professional Development**: Engage in professional development opportunities to improve supervisory skills and knowledge of school policies and procedures.

**Detailed Responsibilities**:
**Classroom Management**:

- **Learning Environment**: Create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to engage with the work set.
- **Student Engagement**: Use a variety of strategies to maintain student interest and motivation, adapting to different learning styles and needs.

**Behaviour Management**:

- **Conflict Resolution**: Manage minor conflicts and disruptions calmly and effectively, seeking support from senior staff when necessary.
- **Positive Reinforcement**: Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behaviour and academic effort.

**Communication**:

- **Feedback**: Provide clear and constructive feedback to students on their behaviour and work during the lesson.
- **Liaison**: Communicate effectively with teaching staff regarding any issues or successes that occur during the lesson, ensuring a smooth transition upon the teacher’s return.

**Support and Development**:

- **Student Support**: Identify and support students who may need additional help, liaising with teaching staff and support services as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Educational Background**: Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths; A-Levels or higher education qualifications are desirable.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in an educational setting or working with young people is advantageous.
