Based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire and due to business expansion, we are looking to add to our already skilled team.

We are looking for a Wood Mill (Assembly) Supervisor

**The Role**:
To ensure the efficient, effective & economic operation of the Wood Mill/Assembly to meet the requirements of the daily/weekly operating plan in a timely & cost-effective manner. The post holder is required to build and maintain good working relationships both within the team and with other departments/teams within the company.

**1.** Deliver assembled frames to satisfy the requirements of the daily/weekly upholstery plans in line with agreed technical specifications & quality standards;
a. Planning & Organizing workload in line with upholstery requirements

b. Regular communication with management to ensure plan adherence.

**2**. Day to day responsibility for the Supervising of Wood Mill/Assembly personnel in partnership with other Supervisors.

a. Attendance & punctuality approving daily time sheets of wood mill operatives.

b. Allocation of resources to cover absence and plan requirements under advisement from the manager.

**3. ** Measure & report performance against agreed KPI’s.

**4.** Maintain both raw material and piece-part stocks to service the plan requirements in a timely fashion.

a. Timber & board.

b. Ensure Company purchasing and inventory controls are adhered to.

**5. ** Maintain all machinery and equipment to an acceptable standard so as to minimise any interruptions to output and in line with current legislations.

Comply with all Company H&S and ethical standards and also procedures regarding confidentiality and security of information.

a. Responsibility for introductions of new operations employees and training of.

b. Companywide manual handling training.

**6. ** Any other duties as the management may require from time to time.

**7. ** To ensure management instructions are clearly followed.

**8. ** Weekly control of consumables and housekeeping.

**9. ** Work with management to improve the business with 6S guidance.

Previous experience as a Frame assembler or Wood Machinist roles would be beneficial
