The within Human Resources are seeking a part-time Reward and Benefits Adviser to provide expert guidance, advice and support on reward initiatives and employee benefits to all levels of HR staff and the wider university. This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to progress their career in Human Resources or gain specialist experience in the reward and benefit areas of HR.


You will support the team in delivering the full breadth of reward and benefits at Imperial and will play a crucial role in providing expert advice, guidance, and support on applicable policies, strategies and frameworks within the HR Reward teams remit. You will report to the Reward and Benefits Manager but will also work closely with the Head of Pensions & Benefits and the HR Policy Managers.

Key duties will include supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of employee benefits and applicable policies and frameworks within the Reward remit. You will also have a key role in supporting the delivery of Imperial’s Total Remuneration Package as well as supporting various working groups, supporting negotiations with the university’s Joint Trades Unions, in addition to providing advice to HR colleagues at all levels. 


We are seeking candidates who:

Have experience gained within Human Resources, ideally with an understanding of the UK Higher Education sector.Are CIPD qualified, or part qualified.Are confident in working with relevant databases to obtain accurate data and provide analysis to support salary benchmarking requests in addition to other reward and benefit initiatives.Competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook.Have an understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality whilst also being courteous both in person, and virtually.Have good administrative skills, written and verbal communication skills, and numeracy skills and able to take official notes at meetings.Have good organisational skills with ability to plan and prioritise own workload, the ability to work methodically, and the ability to use own initiative on when to refer matters to others.

This position is a part-time (0.8 FTE- 28 hours per week), open-ended contract.
