Job Title: ApptadSystems Testing/QA Specialist Senior
JobLocation: 222 Jarvis Street (Hybrid Candidate must beable to work 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Responsibilities: Provides advice on the testing strategytest plans the selection of testing tools and the identification ofresources required for testing Plans and organizes testing effortsfor large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) andnonGraphical User Interface (GUI) environments including theexecution of systems integration tests specialized tests and useracceptance testing (e.g. stress tests) The Quality AssuranceSpecialist is responsible for the development of test plans testscripts and test cases and executing these against the variouscomponents. The tester will work with the testing lead and IT leadof each project as well as the project team members in the analysisdesign development implementation and ongoing support of therequired systems General Skills: Experience in planning organizingand implementing testing efforts at the specified experience levelKnowledge of structured methodologies for the development designimplementation and maintenance of applications Knowledge andexperience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE)tools and data query tools to aid in the development of test casesKnowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools andversion control systems on one or more platforms Experienceexecuting functional tests nonfunctional tests and systems levelintegration tests Experience supporting user acceptance testing andparticipating in UAT activities Experience with quality assuranceprinciples practices tools and structured methodologies Experiencecreating testing strategy documentation test plans test cases andtest data for various types and phases of testing includingtechnical and business functional validation Experience in qualityassurance and testing including unit testing integration testingload testing performance testing etc. Knowledge and experience inall phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle Excellentanalytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; organizationalcreativity and perseverance skills; verbal and writtencommunication skills; and interpersonal skills A team player with atrack record for meeting deadlines Knowledge of one or moreautomated testing tools Desirable Skills: Knowledge and experiencein at least one programming language Experience in the use ofinformation retrieval packages Knowledge and understanding oftesting methods in an objectoriented environment Knowledge andunderstanding of Information Management principles conceptspolicies and practices. Knowledge and understanding ofAccessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and relatedregulations and standards Experience planning and organizingtesting efforts for both large and small systems Experience codingautomated test scripts to produce sets of automated test casesExperience testing Commercial Offthe Shelf Applications(COTS)

  • 8years of experience working as a Software QA Tester
  • 5 years of experience testing a Commercial Off the Shelf(COTS) Application
  • Experience testing OracleSiebel CRM application is a strong asset
  • Experience working on Siebel Test Automation is an asset
  • Experience testing Adobe AEM is an asset
  • Displays an understanding of SoftwareDevelopment Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts
  • Displays an understanding of PM Methodologies like Agileand Waterfall.

TechnicalSkills 20%

  • Experience with defect tracking tool like Jira / AzureDevOps
  • Strong understanding of defectmanagement life cycle
  • Demonstrates anexperience of proper Documentation of Test Cases / Test ExecutionPlans
  • Working knowledge and experience ofQMetry is an asset
  • Working experience of anautomation tool (GUI and API ) is an asset
  • Ability to write and understand SQL is an asset
  • Ability to understand data models is an asset
  • Ability to understand Java and Javascript isan asset

Public Sector Experience 5%

  • Experience with Siebelmodules such as Public Sector CRM Contracts Lead Management PartnerPublic Sector Partner Portal Campaign Management Marketing ResourceManager and Public Sector eService would be an asset
  • Experience with Case Management would be anasset.

MUST HAVES:

  • 8 years of experience working as a Software QATester
