Job Duration: Long Term Job Overview
Deliverables: Infrastructure Services focused on Process Optimization, SSL, and ITIL methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation, monitoring, follow-up, closure, and reporting of Change Requests.
- Providing mentorship, training, and technical guidance to junior personnel.
- Engaging necessary internal or external service provider resources to resolve issues, ensuring effective DCO service delivery.
- Overseeing and coordinating tasks performed by internal and external service providers, directing work procedures to mitigate negative impacts.
- Documenting and implementing infrastructure Change Requests.
- Updating incident reports, identifying and mitigating risks to the infrastructure, and maintaining the Configuration Management Database.
- Recommending enhancements for server infrastructure, including the decommissioning of hardware such as servers and storage devices, and coordinating disposal processes.
- Managing SSL/TLS certificate signing and reporting.
- Supporting the maintenance and updates of the Application Portfolio Management solution.
Required Skills and Experience
Evaluation Criteria:
1. ITIL Management (30%)
- Proven experience in developing and managing change requests.
- Experience with managing a Configuration Management Database.
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL concepts and procedures.
- Familiarity with Corporate Change, Incident, Problem, and Release Management.
- Understanding of Data Centre Protocols and Procedures, with experience in Uptime Certified Tier IV & Tier II Data Centres.
2. Documentation and Communication (20%)
- Ability to engage appropriate internal or external service provider resources to resolve issues, minimizing interruptions to Data Centre operations.
- Experience in guiding, monitoring, and coordinating work by internal and external service providers.
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
- Knowledge of incident resolution processes.
- Experience in collaborating with vendors to address incidents/issues.
- Ability to work with and support multiple technical teams.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and Remedy/eSMT ticketing systems.
3. Technical Knowledge (10%)
- Experience in building IT infrastructure.
- Ability to support multiple technical teams.
- Knowledge of VCentre VMware and maintaining virtual servers.
- Experience with Windows, Solaris, and AIX server support.
- Understanding of networking installation and configuration of devices (routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers).
- Experience in building and supporting backup infrastructure.
- Knowledge of SAN and Tape Library Infrastructure installation and configuration.
- Experience in server installation, configuration, and operating system loading, including virtual servers.
4. Certificate Support (10%)
- Demonstrated experience in SSL/TLS certificate signing and support.
MUST HAVE:
- 5 years of experience with ITIL Change Management
- SSL/TLS certificate experience is required
