Payroll Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately calculate and process payments, amendments, adjustments, deductions, holiday pay, and statutory payments for both our UK and international employees, whilst adhering to regulations.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration, including processing new starters, leavers, payrolling benefits, P11Ds, Statutory leave and pay including SSP, SMP and SPP.
- Compile standard reports and ad-hoc reports for management as needed, providing insights into payroll data, including Gender Pay Gap reporting.
- Assist in pension administration, ensuring compliance with pension scheme regulations is met and regularly communicating with pension providers to resolve issues/discrepancies.
- Support the payroll manager in the execution of year-end routines, including the distribution of P60s and P11Ds to employees.
- Keep up to date with UK and international payroll regulations, implementing changes as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Approved certification or working towards such an award would be desirable for this role (such as CIPP) but not essential.
- Considerable experience in a payroll role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation. Must have experience in end-to-end payroll (Essential).
- A detailed understanding of payroll regulations, tax, and PAYE.
- Experience with pension administration and auto-enrolment processes.
- Experience in multi-country payroll processing (desirable).
- Ability to analyse payroll data for gender pay gap reporting and financial reporting.
