Our client is based in York, offering tailored services for individuals and businesses and they are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join the payroll bureau team based in York.

**In this role, you will be responsible for: -**
- Processing multiple payrolls and managing own workload
- Maintain the payroll system and records by capturing, calculating, and inputting data
- An understanding and ability to calculate all statutory payments including maternity and parental leave
- A full understanding and the ability to calculate statutory and occupational sick pay
- Responsible for pension and auto enrollment administration

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong team player who influences positively at all levels
- Experience within a payroll environment
- Deep understanding of PAYE procedures
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Ability to calculate statutory payments
- Knowledge of payroll software, spreadsheets, and journals
