Job overview
The NELFT wheelchair and special seating service is looking for additional administration support to join a busy well established team. The regionally based service provides a range of clinical services to those referred to the team. All users of the service have long term conditions that affect their mobility and posture. The administrative function is central to providing a service to those who require support with their mobility and their clinical care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will achieve this by supporting the service user pathway and daily running of services within the wheelchair and/or prosthetic service by providing both a front of house service and administrative support within the identified team. This will involve dealing with booking of appointments, clinic planning, stock control/management, management of records and patient contact as required within the clinics. The holder of the post will also be expected to support the induction of staff, students and visitors to the service. The post holder will be expected to support the reception duties including the answering of telephone calls, assisting servicer users into and out of the building, and providing support whilst within the clinic setting for maintaining activities of daily living.
The post holder will consistently deliver a “client-focused” service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,192 to a maximum of £2,011 pro rata for part time).
