We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, compassionate, & highly motivated Band Team Leader Therapeutic Radiographer - OXFORD CANCER CENTRE.

Our equipment refresh programme is almost complete with two Varian Halcyon linacs , Truebeams with RGSC & DoF couches, one with Hyperarc & a Siemens GoSim already installed; the rest of the equipment being installed over the coming months to include more GoSim CT scanners & new brachytherapy equipment. Our Satellite Unit in Swindon houses Truebeam linacs with DoF couches and a GoSim CT scanner and our new satellite in Milton Keynes, due to open late , will house Truebeam & a GoSim CT scanner

Main duties of the job

To be primarily responsible for leading and co-ordinating the day-to-day clinical operations of the linac in accordance with the policies of the department and trust.

Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring patients have accurate and consistent planning and treatment

Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.

Support and train members of the team to maintain and develop professional and personal skills and standards

Assist the Pre-Treatment and Treatment Lead Radiographers and Radiotherapy Satellite Operational Manager in the implementation of change within the radiotherapy service.

Provide expert advice on treatment procedures and treatment related side effects and their management to patients and their carers.

To liaise with other disciplines to ensure total coverage in all aspects of patient care.
