Job Title: Clinical Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Support Worker to join our team in the Gastrointestinal Physiology and Pelvic Floor Services Department at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Support Worker to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth running of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of equipment for patient tests
  • Provide support to patients and families, ensuring their comfort and well-being
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control procedures
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, using clear and respectful language
  • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist in the management of patient records and documentation
  • Perform other duties as required by the Registered Professional
Requirements
  • Numeracy and literacy skills to Level 2 or Grade C at GCSE
  • Experience of working in health and therapy teams or with people
  • Problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills and basic IT skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently
  • Motivation for the role and adaptability
  • Team worker and confident, with the ability to recognize self-limitations
