Clinical Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Support Worker to join our team in the Gastrointestinal Physiology and Pelvic Floor Services Department at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide administrative and clinical support to our multidisciplinary team, ensuring the smooth running of the department and providing a seamless service to patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is looking to develop their skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the team, including managing patient records, preparing equipment, and maintaining stock levels.
- Assist with patient care, including preparing patients for tests, monitoring patient safety, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, using clear and respectful language.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care, including communicating with clinicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of clinical procedures, policies, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the team, including mentoring and supporting new staff members, and participating in team meetings and training sessions.
- Healthcare experience in a clinical environment, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic patient records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Knowledge of Cerner Millennium's Electronic Patient Record is desirable.
