Clinical Support Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Support Worker to join our team in the Gastrointestinal Physiology and Pelvic Floor Services Department at the Churchill Hospital. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the multidisciplinary team in delivering excellent services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist patients with preparation for diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and records as required, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, providing clear and concise information and responding to queries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the department, including maintaining a clean and organized environment, managing stock levels, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinical or administrative role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and families.
- Basic IT skills, including proficiency in using electronic patient records and other clinical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
