Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Maternity Support Worker to join our team. As a Maternity Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the maternity team in delivering excellent services.
Key Responsibilities- Support and work closely with registered midwives and sonographers to deliver a high standard of care to women in a caring and safe environment.
- Contribute to the safe, efficient, and smooth running of the ward/clinical area.
- Maintain the dignity and privacy of all women and respect their right to confidentiality.
- Complete and maintain a generic and specific portfolio of clinical competencies and/or the Care Certificate as required.
- Review progress with line manager at regular intervals and through the appraisal process.
- Understand own level of responsibility, scope of practice, and accountability in relation to registered staff.
- Adhere to all policies at all times.
- Candidates must have a strong understanding of patient care and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Candidates must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Able to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
