About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Ensure that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing.
  • Assist patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected.

Person Specification

Essential

  • A minimum of 6 months experience as a Mental Health Care Assistant (Qualifications required to accompany individuals with 6-12 months experience).
  • All Care support worker roles will be required to provide evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification. Evidence accepted includes:
  • Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements.
  • Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation.
  • QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services issued after 2011.
  • QCF Level 2 OR above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support issued after 2011.
  • QCF Level 3 OR above Diploma in Healthcare Support or Maternity & Paediatric Support issued after 2011 (For Paediatric & Maternity roles only).
  • Degree /Diploma in Nursing and currently do not have an NMC Registration.
