About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Support Worker to join our team in the Gastrointestinal Physiology and Pelvic Floor Services Department at the Churchill Hospital. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of equipment for patient tests and procedures.
- Provide support to patients during tests and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills and knowledge of Cerner Millennium's Electronic Patient Record.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
