Job summary

his is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to bring their enthusiasm and a flexible approach to work as a part timeTeam Administrator, for our Community Nursing Teams.Focusing on providing an efficient and responsive administrative service, supporting our existing network of administration staff byproactively approaching daily tasks. This valuable role will enable our senior clinicians to dedicate time to additional clinical visits,directly impacting patient care and improving patient experience.Essential skills for this role include:- Accurate typing and keyboard skills, for note-taking and data inputting- Excellent verbal and written skills- Organisational skills and attention to detail- Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Power point)- Experience of NHS IT systemsThis is an office-based role, 30 hours per week and the post-holder will be required to travel and work between the Whitstable &Faversham sites

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be involved in a variety of interesting duties, some of which may include:

o Create agendas and take minutes for Team/MDT meetingso Arrange servicing of medical deviceso Assist patients to complete patient experience surveyso Use of patient records system (RIO) to pull reports, send patient letters and assist the clinical Assistance with HR processes, including completing leavers forms, annual leave calculations management of personnel files andpreparation for induction of new starterso Preparing documentation for legal requestso Updating the roster system (eRoster)o Sharing team data dashboard using systems such as Power BIo IT requests, ordering of equipment and stock control using systems like Business World and Supply Chaino Diary management of team members for one to ones, appraisals and team meetingso Coordination of team training

Additional Working Pattern: 30 hours (working pattern to be agreed)

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Level 3 qualification ( 2 A/AS levels, NVQ level 3, BTEC diplomas, certificates and awards, international Baccalaureate diploma) or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Desirable

NVQ Level 3 Business Administrator, Customer Service Specialist or Team Leader or Supervisor.

Experience

Essential

Administrative experience. Experience of team working and versatility to take on a variety of tasks.

Desirable

NHS administrative experience. Experience of handling confidential information. Supervision of staff. Experience of working with members of the public.

Knowledge

Essential

Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office packages Outlook, Word, Excel and Power point.

Desirable

Understanding of health and social care sector, including working knowledge of NHS structures, policies and processes.

Skills & Abilities

Essential

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills both on telephone and in person with patients, members of the public and colleagues. Excellent written communication skills.
