Job Description:

  • Responsible for preparation of materials to supportdownstream manufacturing operations.
  • Mayoperate specialty preparation equipment.
  • Weighs measures and checks raw materials to ensurebatches manufactured contain proper ingredients and accurateproportions following approved procedure.
  • Assists with in process testing to ensure batches meetspecifications.
  • Responsible for validatingprocesses and equipment directly related to filtration cleaning andsterilization.
  • Responsible for the removal anddisposal of waste chemicals solvents and acids. Identifiestroubleshoots and resolves complex issues associated withbulking/formulation operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Weighs measures and checks raw materials toensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients
  • Performs simple analytical tests (pH conductivity andabsorbance)
  • Performs routine cleaning ofprocessing equipment
  • Handles hazardous wasteas appropriate
  • Assists with inventory countingactivities as required
  • Inspects inprocessparts to ensure consistent quality and remove defective productpackaging and component material
  • Responsiblefor ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all manufacturingactivities performed
  • Monitors meters gaugestemperatures pressures and related controls
  • Plans and controls timing of operations
  • Generates reports graphs and other data
  • Ensures accurate proportions of batches followingapproved procedure
  • Interprets complex drawingsdiagrams charts and specifications
  • Performscomplex work to close tolerances high quality andaccuracy
  • Makes effective decisions relative toposition requirements
  • Evaluates operatingprocess equipment and implantation to ensure constant compliancewith standard manufacturing practices (SMP)
  • Uses independent judgment in troubleshooting and problemsolving under little/no supervision
  • Maydevelop weekly production plans coordinating resources (rawmaterials) and communicating relative priority to downstreamparties
  • Provides support to lead and/orsupervisor when necessary
  • May provide trainingsupport for onboarding and/or new procedures
  • May provide support on special projects
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow established proceduresaccording to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Must follow all client housekeeping policies andprocedures
  • Must follow all client safetypolicies and procedures

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • High School degree required with 2 yearsmanufacturing experience required. Experience in a regulatedenvironment required.

Basic Skills:

  • Exhibit the ability to use independent judgment anddemonstrated leadership
  • Possess the ability tocommunicate (oral/written) technical and nontechnical informationacross the group and organization
  • Possessstrong time management skills to complete assigned tasks in anaccurate and timely manner
  • Strong attention todetail
  • Possess the ability to operateindependently on semiroutine and routine activities

Proficient/WorkingSkills:

  • Must be proficient in English with the ability to readwrite analyze/evaluate charts follow simple diagrams and performbasic arithmetic
  • Demonstrate the ability touse personal computers
  • Proficiency in MS Excelis required
  • Must be able to use advanced mathskills to produce accurate formulas
  • Possessthe able to read write comprehend and interpret complex chartsdrawings diagrams graphs and other data
