Sound good? You’ll join as an Asset Planner within the Strategic Customer Service Planning (SCSP) Directorate. Located at our Nigg Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW), this will be a permanent role.

What you’ll do

Understand asset performance and risk to support the delivery of customer focussed interventions. You will be required to help shape the asset management team’s strategy for the future while involving stakeholders at all levels within the business.

Liaise with Projects to ensure that all new assets are added to the system, including PM schedules and align with Scottish Water asset numbering for move to Maximo.

Work with Team Leaders to have the correct resources in place and that equipment can be made available and produce a weekly maintenance plan in order to deliver the PM program and reactive maintenance.

Lead failure analysis on major breakdowns and work with manufacturers and experts to resolve issues. Report findings and implement changes to the maintenance plan.

What you’ll bring

An understanding of Asset risk and performance and have experience / awareness of water and wastewater services, asset management or water industry regulation. Also bring experience within the wastewater industry or similar.

You’ll bring your proactive problem solving approach, who strives to deliver sustainable results.

Be effective in planning and prioritising based on evaluated evidence from a range of sources and also being a peoples person who builds strong relationships by influencing and engaging communities across the business.

A few ‘nice to haves’:

Operational knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and strong working knowledge of IT solutions to help manage assets and support strategy.

Will be expected to maintain asset register, drawing register and CMMS to current equipment set up.

Have CAD experience to update drawings with changes made to asset profile

.

Report to Maintenance Manager on full range of asset performance and issues.

The not-so-small print

This role will be a Grade 7. If you’re new to Scottish Water, you’ll join us on a starting salary of £41,000. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £51,970.
