The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant / Associate to lead our research efforts in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within digital twin technologies.

Based in the , you will play a key role in advancing our understanding and implementation of AI-driven digital twins. In particular, your focus will be on developing novel solutions for the automated measurement of the productivity and emission of heavy construction equipment and the operational integrity of built assets.

Working under a project co-funded by Innovate UK, you will have the unique opportunity to participate in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with leading businesses, including BIM Academy, xBIM, WEAREGRAYFOX. You will also play a key role in helping the project team embed the research outcomes into real-world impact by developing the AI component and supporting its integration into the software tool.

This is a full-time fixed-term position (37 hours per week) starting immediately and completing on 30th April 2026, with the possibility of extension.
