Main duties of the job

Book endoscopy diagnostic therapeutic procedures communication with multi-disciplined medical and surgical teams. Adhere to all Trust and Endoscopy specific policies, procedures and guidelines. Ensure that all work outputs are completed to a high standard of quality as required and that all patient waiting times and pathway targets and timescales are met. Identify when additional capacity is required to meet waiting list targets and liaise with the Endoscopy Coordinators and Endoscopy Admin Lead to ensure additional capacity is organised effectively and in a timely manner with best use of resources. Reception duties that include arriving and discharging patients onto the Endoscopy Unit via the Trusts electronic patient record, TrakCare. Ensure all appropriate technologies and equipment are utilised to optimum functionality. Consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills. Effectively liaise with staff from other services as well as external service users including GP's, patients and their representatives in a professional and courteous manner. Support the updating and maintaining of standard operating procedures. Organise interpreters following appropriate trust policies, systems and processes. General office duties including opening and distributing post, housekeeping, filing, photocopying and maintaining stock of routine supplies.
