Overall Purpose of the Job:
The role of the Investment Specialist is to support asset gathering and retention activities. The role will involve applying an in-depth knowledge of financial markets together with a unique ability to position the competitive characteristics of our investment capabilities, strategy and performance with our clients.
The role is intended to help successfully bridge Portfolio Management and Business Development and will require working closely together with the relevant Senior Investment Specialist as well as Portfolio Management, Product Research & Development and Sales & Distribution teams to develop the right arguments to support and promote our investment products.
Main Accountabilities:
Develop the marketing identity and articulate a consistent message around product characteristics and the investment capability under coverage, including, but not limited to, a focus on GSS investment solutions. Create investment communications content to support the marketing and distribution of the companys products including white papers, fund focus and opinion pieces, presentation material and regular portfolio commentaries. Act as the subject matter expert, responding to information requests about investment products under coverage. Provide clients and prospects with on-going updates about market views, investment strategy, positioning and performance under the direction of senior staff. Drive the client pitch including providing RFP content and delivering pitch presentations. Represent Portfolio Management and products under coverage at client meetings and performance reviews where appropriate under the direction of senior staff. Support of new product development and marketing materialsThe role holder will adhere to FCA rules and principles and the Firms policies and procedures. Where appropriate, the role holder will seek guidance from Head of Compliance.

Excellent experience of using Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential Has the capacity to be flexible, reliable, responsible and committed Curiosity and autonomy will be key to learn the product and integrate the investment process Ability to prioritise between different tasks and produce quality results The candidate will be seated on the trading floor and have direct access to portfolio managers. They will be confident, thoughtful, measured and solution orientated. Problem solving ability Works well in a team, with open/pro-active communication skills IMC or CFA is strongly preferred (can still be in progress)
