A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Clinical Governance Manager within the multi-disciplined Health and Wellbeing Services department.

The main purpose of this role is to develop, design and implement Occupational Health policies, SOPs and practices to ensure appropriate clinical interventions are undertaken in a customer centred delivery model and that services levels are delivered within available resources.

The postholder will provide clinical expertise and managerial supervision to the Essex Health and Wellbeing Teams, incorporating the administration function, counselling and wellbeing and occupational health nursing teams.

This post has responsibility for clinician audits to ensure safe clinical practices are being delivered and maintained in your specialist function across Essex Police and Kent Police and works closely and in collaboration with the Health and Wellbeing Delivery Manager (mental health lead) based in Kent.

It is essential that the successful candidate is a Registered General Nurse with a specialist Occupational Health qualification, with NMC Part 3 registration.

This is a challenging and demanding role that requires the successful candidate to organise and prioritise their own workload and lead a small team of multi-disciplined team leaders and therefore strong organisational and communications skills are essential, together with the ability to work under pressure in order to achieve deadlines. Previous senior leadership experience is essential for this post.

This opportunity would suit a highly-motivated and dynamic individual who can bring their wide experience to the role in order to provide excellent health and wellbeing interventions to Essex Police and Kent Police officers and staff.

Essex and Kent Police offer agile working which allows some flexibility in terms of work arrangements. Due to the operational nature of this role, it will be predominantly office based within an office-based team. Some travel may be required to other police sites to discharge duty.

Essex Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £56,931.00.

Kent Police and Essex Police have separate salary grading systems therefore the salary for this position will be dependent on which home office force you are appointed to. This will be discussed with the successful applicant before a final offer is made.
