Role Overview: This position is for a Clinical Governance Manager within the Health and Wellbeing Services department.

Key Responsibilities: The primary focus of this role is to formulate, design, and execute Occupational Health policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and practices to ensure that clinical interventions are conducted within a customer-centric framework while maintaining service levels within the available resources.

The incumbent will offer clinical expertise and managerial oversight to the Essex Health and Wellbeing Teams, which include the administration function, counselling and wellbeing services, as well as occupational health nursing teams.

This role entails conducting clinician audits to verify that safe clinical practices are upheld across Essex Police and Kent Police, collaborating closely with the Health and Wellbeing Delivery Manager, who specializes in mental health.

Candidate Requirements: It is crucial that the successful applicant is a Registered General Nurse with a specialized Occupational Health qualification and holds NMC Part 3 registration.

This position demands a highly organized individual capable of managing and prioritizing their workload while leading a small team of diverse team leaders. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines. Previous experience in senior leadership is a prerequisite for this role.

Work Environment: Essex and Kent Police promote agile working, allowing for some flexibility in work arrangements. Occasional travel to other police sites may be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.

Salary Information: Essex Police provides incremental salary increases within this band, with the potential to reach a maximum salary. The specific salary will depend on the home office force to which the successful candidate is appointed, and this will be discussed prior to a final offer.
