Data Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at the East of England Ambulance Service. As a key member of our Data Quality Assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and resolve data quality issues across multiple systems, including the Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
- Extract, collate, and interpret information from various Trust systems, using advanced data extraction skills and SQL.
- Collaborate with Asset Owners to resolve system-related data quality issues affecting Trust reporting.
- Work with Operational teams to create and refine processes to reduce input of incorrect data and user errors.
- Develop and deliver training on data quality processes and systems.
- Prepare and deliver detailed assurance reports on identified data quality issues for escalation through internal governance processes.
- Postgraduate level education in Computing and IT or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Demonstrable experience in a role involving specialist knowledge of at least one Trust system, such as oCleric CAD (999), oCleric CAD (PTS), oGRS (Rostering), or oESR.
- In-depth understanding of National Standards, Policies, and Procedures governing the Organisation.
- Advanced data extraction skills, including SQL, and Power BI qualification or evidence of advanced use.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional registration with the British Computer Society (FEDIP/RITTECH).
- Understanding of multiple disciplines, such as financial management, performance management, information systems, and staff management.
- Leadership skills and experience, with the ability to challenge stakeholders on their processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver training on data quality processes and systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Confidence and ability to act and implement changes as the Trust's technical specialist, advising Organisation Leaders on changes required to meet National Reporting Requirements.
