Position Overview

We are seeking qualified Clinical Haematologists to join our dynamic team within the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume ongoing responsibility for the care of patients, collaborating with colleagues to ensure the effective operation of the department.
  • Participate in relevant multi-disciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to patient care and outpatient clinic operations.
  • Engage in cooperative efforts with fellow haematology consultants to provide a comprehensive service across the region.

Role Expectations

As a Clinical Haematology Consultant, you will:

  • Lead and develop Haematology services in alignment with the Trust's objectives for quality and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with the Trust's corporate governance framework.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across the organization.
  • Support effective communication and staff engagement within the Clinical Service Unit.
  • Contribute to the education and training of both undergraduate and postgraduate professionals.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • CCT Qualification or nearing completion.
  • Experience in Clinical Haematology.
  • Laboratory experience.

Professional Credentials

Essential Qualifications

  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists.
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Medicine.
