Job Summary:

The Medical and Diagnostic Care Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team. As a Clinical Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for providing indirect clinical supervision and leadership to specialty Consultants across all sites and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide indirect clinical supervision and leadership to specialty Consultants, ensuring high standards of care are delivered at all times.
  • Support recruitment functions through networking and advocacy on behalf of the company.
  • Be responsible for interview and approval of all doctor grade clinicians across the specialty.
  • Set and periodically review clinical standards for the specialty, including minimum competency standards, log book data requirements, and specialty specific updates and CPD requirements.
  • Support the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in management of Clinical Teams, including conduct reviews, incident investigation, disciplinary hearings, and other Clinical Governance processes.
  • Support the Business Development function by identifying and engaging opportunities within networks and wider.
  • Attend conduct and performance review meetings when required, and in response to incidents and complaints, providing advice and guidance to the Governance function.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a clinical leadership role.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in the specialty.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
