Potential development Band 3-4 role opportunity for candidates who do not meet all the essential criteria.
Are you enthusiastic and keen to work with children with Communication difficulties within the area of Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy. The candidate would need to be able to demonstrate skills in working with children (pre or school aged). Experience working with children with SEND or delivery of programmes of work with children would be desirable. This post would be an exciting opportunity for someone who has been working in settings with children or supporting parents/carer's and is looking to develop their skills in Paediatric SLT.
Join a small established team of Therapist's and Assistant Practitioners working in an integrated service with Children's Therapy. We are a fun, child focused team who work closely together.
CPD is well supported and there will be the opportunity to undertake further training to develop skills within Paediatrics as well as regular in house supervision and training. We will provide a flexible training package to work around the needs of the individual applicant.
Main duties of the job
Work independently or jointly with qualified therapists (dependent on competencies gained and level of complexity), to implement, review and modify treatment directly in line with client goals and outcomes achieved per intervention.
Take responsibility for managing own caseload within required timescales, proactively accessing regular supervision and support to do so. Ensure every contact counts and gain supervision for tasks which are beyond competencies completed. Monitor and progress treatment in line with clinical needs and client goals, ensuring the use of validated outcome measures with each individual. Plan, facilitate and complete discharge including information to relevant others.
