Key Account Manager - Automobility

Location: Hybrid (Regular UK travel with ideally once per week minimum in a Schenker office such as Manchester, Heathrow)

Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits

Are you an automobility expert ready to take the lead in driving new business? We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our commercial team, focusing on the automobility vertical. This role offers a fantastic platform to develop and grow your career by targeting and securing new customers, while collaborating closely with our business units to deliver innovative solutions.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Develop New Business: Identify and target new customers within the automobility sector, leveraging your industry expertise to expand our client base.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management and Branch Operations teams to align services with customer needs and expectations.
  • Strategic Growth: Develop and implement a strategic plan for the UK market, in line with the broader European Automobility strategy.
  • Drive Results: Execute the strategic plan, monitor progress, and ensure delivery against key goals.

About You:

* Industry Expertise: Strong background in multi-modal freight forwarding with in-depth knowledge of the automobility market.
* Account Development: Proven experience in developing global, regional, and national accounts within the Automotive sector, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and the aftermarket.
* Solution-Oriented: Ability to design and deliver bespoke supply chain solutions tailored to customer needs.
* Pipeline Management: Skilled at building and maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities.
* Leadership: Professional approach with the ability to inspire and lead by example.
* Hunter Mentality: Results-driven, with a focus on capturing new business.
* Strategic Vision: Capable of identifying growth opportunities and building strategic partnerships within a matrix organization
