Scientist Bioassay - Immunology
Here at Lonza we have a great opportunity available for a Scientist/Senior Scientist to join our Early Development Services department. This is a permanent position based out of our Cambridge facility.
The role involves the isolation and banking of human primary cells, and the design and execution of various in vitro cell-based bioassays for multiple client projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilising existing assay platforms to assess the immune response to therapeutic molecules
Isolation, banking and characterisation of human PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cells)
Improvement/development of assay platforms
Interested?
What we need you to have:
Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences/Immunology
Master Degree/PhD or equivalent experience in Biological Sciences/Immunology
Previous experience with PBMC and/or primary immune cell culture in assays using strong aseptic technique
Experience with immunological techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISpot/FluoroSpot, Luminex, ELISA or live cell imaging to assess immune cell function
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent record keeping and attention to detail
Nice to have:
Understanding of human immunology and bioassay development
Relevant industry experience
