Data Scientist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in metagenomics, biostatistics, and computational biology to join our growing team at CV Library.

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting clinical trials and other studies. You will provide analytical support across both translational biology and preclinical teams while contributing to the development of innovative statistical methods to enhance our informatics platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform microbiome and multi-omics data analysis (metagenomics, transcriptomics, etc.) in conjunction with clinical metadata, particularly from our clinical trials.
  2. Identify, develop, and implement advanced statistical, analytical, and machine learning methods to improve our informatics platform.
  3. Provide statistical expertise for study design, including the development of analysis plans for complex clinical datasets.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analytical support across various projects, from preclinical studies to translational research.
  5. Drive innovation in the application of data science techniques in drug discovery, focusing on live bacterial therapeutics.
Requirements:
  1. Advanced degree (PhD) in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in analyzing large-scale biological datasets, particularly metagenomics.
  3. Expertise in developing and applying statistical methods in clinical research contexts.
  4. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or equivalent used for data science tasks.
  5. Experience working within cross-functional teams with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  6. Familiarity with oncology, immunology, or related therapeutic areas is advantageous.
