Illumina, a leading genomics company, is seeking a world-class Genetic Data Scientist to join its team in Cambridge, UK. As a key member of our research and development team, you will play a crucial role in developing novel deep learning algorithms for deciphering the human genetic code.

About the Role
  • Lead the development of cutting-edge machine learning methods for analyzing genomic data, enabling the diagnosis of pathogenic genetic variants and improving human health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with academic, nonprofit, and industry partners to advance scientific knowledge and develop innovative solutions.
  • Publish research findings and integrate them into software products to benefit the wider genetics community.
Requirements
  • PhD or MD in computer science, genetics, computational biology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, autonomy, and scientific collaboration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £85,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, a flexible working environment, and a comprehensive benefits package.
