Are you anexperienced Warehouse Foreman within the removals industry; lookingfor a new role in a company with nearly 150 years of experiencewithin the logistics and removalssector

Due to continued growth werelooking for Warehouse Foreman who will work to improve and developwarehouse operating systems by determining handling and storagerequirements; implementing enforcing and evaluating policies andprocedures; developing processes for receiving items equipment andplant servicing inventory management and organisation. You ll alsobe responsible for the health and safety policy and procedureswithin the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment for ourcolleagues andvisitors.

DailyTasks

Organising the warehousemaking sure the warehouse is tidy andsafe

Operating and moving the forklifts anddaily checks on the forklifts fordefects

Maintaining warehouse managementsystem

Collating a daily defect report andinforming the Operations Manager of thedefects

Issuing PPE/Uniforms and registeringitems

Daily Equipmentchecks

Ensuring vehicles are delivered forservice in line withbookings

Be responsible for promote and lead onHealth and Safety in the Warehouse and the surrounding work area.

Assist with the sitehousekeeping

Deal with deliveries to thesite

Act as a driver porter as and whenrequired by the business


Weekly andMonthlytasks

Complete packing materialstock takes
Update equipment serviceplanner
Oversee the booking of plantand equipmentinspections
Monitor the return ofvehicle and equipment servicesheets
Complete weekly workplaceinspections
Sign off corrective actionson defect sheets
Complete checks for hazardsand correct issues
Complete packing comparisonchecks
Complete AEDchecks
Manage the waste onsite
Ensure Tyre inspections are beingcompleted

Requirements

Experience as a warehouseoperative/foreman

Fork Lift Truck licence isessential (Counterbalance & Reachtruck)

Expertise in warehouse managementprocedures and bestpractices

Proven ability to implement processimprovements

Strong Organisationskills

Leadership skills and ability to managestaff

Strong decision making and problemsolvingskills

Excellent communicationskills

Qualification in logistics supply chainmanagement is desirable

Driving Licence isessential

Containerised Storage ExperiencePreferred


Additional:The role may involve some travel nationwide and may involveovernightstays.
