Job Overview


Are you a skilled Warehouse Foreman in the logistics sector, seeking a new opportunity with a company that boasts nearly 150 years of expertise in the removals and logistics industry?

As we continue to expand, we are in search of a Warehouse Foreman who will enhance and refine our warehouse operational systems by assessing handling and storage needs; enforcing, implementing, and reviewing policies and procedures; and developing processes for receiving goods, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and organization. You will also oversee health and safety protocols within the warehouse to ensure a secure working environment for our team and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

· Organizing the warehouse to maintain a clean and safe environment

· Operating forklifts and conducting daily inspections for any defects

· Managing the warehouse management system

· Compiling daily defect reports and notifying the Operations Manager of any issues

· Distributing PPE/Uniforms and maintaining records

· Conducting daily equipment checks

· Ensuring vehicles are serviced according to schedule

· Leading and promoting Health and Safety practices in the warehouse and surrounding areas

· Assisting with site cleanliness and organization

· Handling deliveries to the site

· Acting as a driver porter when required by the business

Weekly and Monthly Duties

· Performing stock takes of packing materials

· Updating the equipment service planner

· Overseeing the scheduling of plant and equipment inspections

· Monitoring the return of vehicle and equipment service documentation

· Conducting weekly workplace inspections

· Signing off on corrective actions for defect reports

· Identifying hazards and addressing issues

· Completing packing comparison assessments

· Conducting AED checks

· Managing waste disposal on site

· Ensuring tyre inspections are carried out

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a warehouse operative or foreman

· Valid Fork Lift Truck license is essential (Counterbalance & Reach truck)

· Knowledge of warehouse management procedures and best practices

· Demonstrated ability to implement process enhancements

· Strong organizational skills

· Leadership abilities and experience managing staff

· Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities

· Strong communication skills

· Qualification in logistics or supply chain management is preferred

· Valid driving license is essential

· Experience with containerized storage is advantageous
